East Anglian Model Railway Exhibition 2016

East Anglian Model Railway Exhibition 2016 Review

38 high quality layouts in a variety of scales attended our very successful exhibition on 12th and 13th March in the huge arena at Wood Green Animal Charity Centre. They were joined by 25 traders selling the much needed supplies for our hobby while seven demonstrators and four specialist societies shared their expertise with visitors.

2,750 people came over the two days (not counting the under 5's who go free) and we have had some very positive feedback.

Plans are now well under way for the next show on 11th & 12th March 2017, and a list of layouts that are already booked can be found on the 2017 exhibition page.

Congratulations to Bob Jones and the Team from Fence Houses for winning both the Mayor of Huntingdon's award for best layout and winning the best layout award as voted by the public

We have uploaded a few of our photographs from 2016 and more will follow shortly. We will update the website with more news about the 2017 exhibition when more details are available.

The children's layout Shabbey Road raised £69.63 in donations for Wood Green Animal Shelter. Children's stool hire raised £50 for a local charity which will be chosen by Club members and the 4inch scale miniature traction engine raised £200 for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Thank you to our exhibitors, traders, demonstrators, societies, St Neots MRC members and visiting stewards who made the event a success. Thank you to Wood Green staff for their support and thank you to all who visited - I hope you had a great weekend
