St.Neots Model Railway Club
St Neots Model Railway Club Exhibition 2022
St Neots Model Railway Exhibition Report
Saturday 15th October 2022
I am delighted to report that we had nearly 700 visitors to our exhibition at The Priory Centre, of which over 500 were paying adults.
The feedback from layout owners, traders, demonstrators and visitors has been very positive and there was a lot of interest from visitors about our Model Railway Club. If you are interested in visiting us over the coming weeks please pop down any Wednesday evening between 7pm and 10pm.
The future of railway modelling depends on exhibitions like this to show others what can be achieved from the hobby, how to do it and where to get necessary products.
During the Covid lockdown, many people turned to craft based hobbies to fill the time and keep them busy. Crafting helped people with their mental health needs and many continue to enjoy hobbies as a distraction from the growing daily worries of life and the economy. The exhibition could not happen without the support of The Priory Centre Team, our Members, and you the visitors who came to see us so I really appreciate all of the support which made the show a success
The 'Best Layout as voted by the public' was Oakston by Mike Jones of Chesham MRC. Scarborough North Bay was second and Whaplode was in third place.
Finally, don’t forget… We are doing it all again on Saturday 14th October 2023.
Thank you
